Two PhD students awarded prestigious fellowship
Celia Lee (pictured left) and Grayson Arnold, PhD students in the Department of Family Social Science (FSoS) have been awarded the prestigious Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellowship from the Graduate School. The fellowships are awarded to outstanding mid-career PhD students who are engaged in interdisciplinary research to study with faculty at one of the University’s interdisciplinary research centers or institutes during the fellowship year. It is a tribute to both students' excellent academic record and professional promise as less than 20 percent of nominees receive awards.
Arnold will be working with Sarah Kaja, an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and a mentor in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. His advisor is Kay Simon, FSoS assistant professor.
Lee will be working Dr. Ju Sun in the Data Science and AI Hub. Her advisor is Xiaoran Sun, FSoS assistant professor.
