How to apply
The program requirements below are required by the Department of Family Social Science for applications to be considered complete.

- March 1 for fall admission
- October 1 for spring admission

Application requirements
The following information is requested specifically by the Parent and Family Education Program.
On the Program Selection page, select:
Family Education – MEd only (for those who already hold a teaching license in parent and family education, do not need/wish to have the option to work in ECFE, or who live outside of Minnesota and wish to pursue graduate-level preparation for working directly with or coordinating services for families).

- 4. Statement
- 5. Resume
- 6. Current MN Teaching License (if applicable)
- 7. Extenuating Circumstances Statement (Optional)
- 8. Application fee waiver request
1. Transcripts/Academic records
Upload in Academic History section of online application.
You must upload unofficial transcripts or academic records for each higher learning institution where you have earned credit, including partial or incomplete transcripts. Please do not mail in paper copies of your transcripts. There is no need for official transcripts or academic records for initial review. If you are admitted, the University will then request official copies of these materials.
- A GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission; a 3.0 is preferred.
