Children develop their identity and attitudes through experience in their bodies, social environments and their cognitive developmental stages. As these three factors interact, young children process through certain stages of racial awareness. How we talk to children about and model understanding and respect of ours, theirs and others racial and cultural identity has a large impact on that development.

I am passionate about education, support and community for parents. I believe in sharing evidence based, scientific research, offering best practice, allowing parents to make the most informed decisions possible when it comes to their children. I also believe that every family is on their own unique journey and what the "right choice" is, looks differently for all. I believe all parents deserve this kind of support and that all children thrive when their grown ups have these needs met. I facilitate groups and workshops of all sizes on topics relevant to today's caregivers.
