Biography

Yunqi (Kay) He is a second-year PhD student in the Department of Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota. Her current research projects focus on developing and evaluating interventions to support youth who have experienced trauma and families who face risks due to their living circumstances. Kay has shared her expertise through presentations on pivotal topics such as child development during middle childhood and the implementation of effective emotion regulation strategies, delivered to peer mentors at the University YMCA. She is committed to contributing to the advancement of the field of social science and making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable populations. She received her MA in Communication from Rutgers University and her BA in Psychology and Communication from the University of Delaware.
