Six members of the FSoS Department were honored for their scholarship and leadership at the annual CEHD Awards ceremony. The awards recognize outstanding work in the college's departments and units and six of the 11 awards presented at the ceremony went to FSoS faculty, staff, and an undergraduate student.

The Monday morning ceremony began with updates from Dean Michael Rodriquez and members of his leadership team. It also featured a keynote address from Pauline Boss, professor emeritus in FSoS, who shared tips on resilience and coping with the ambiguous loss that many Americans feel in this moment. Watch her presentation at the ceremony (introduction begins at the three-minute mark).

The morning also featured recognitions of faculty and students who were honored by the University and CEHD during the academic year. These included Timothy Piehler, who was honored with a 2025 University of Minnesota Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate and Professional Education, and doctoral candidate Shauna Fenske, who won the Three-minute Thesis Contest at the CEHD Research Day earlier in the semester.
